Journey Church has secured land in northwest Peoria for our permanent home. Designs are underway, and we’re moving toward a building that will serve this community for decades. Follow along and consider sowing into what’s ahead.
For over twenty years, Journey Church has been a family of faith in northwest Peoria. In January 2025 we made the difficult decision to leave our long-time 24/7 facility: the lease was no longer sustainable, and the building didn’t fit the season we were entering.
Today we’re meeting at West Wing Elementary School, a temporary home that God has graciously provided through the Deer Valley Unified School District. It works. It’s beautiful, actually. But it’s temporary.
The land is secured. Designs are in motion. We’re building something that will outlast any of us.
Every resource we gather is for the mission: helping real people move from curiosity to Christ to commitment.
A permanent home means consistent space for kids, students, groups, counseling, and community events. All week, not just Sunday morning.
A building is never the church. But a building is a tool. We’re building something our kids and grandkids will inherit and expand.
